oftp(outfitforthepicture hahaha my pretty creation of acronyms, is it even counted as an acronym, i can't even pronounce it. meeeeeh ): Army green parka, totoro hat and my stanchart t-shirt, just to fit the post ^^hey guys!
so this post is a little late. 3days late if you count today.
so anyway, last Saturday I went with Aribah to get some job done with stanchart. Okay, first.
THIS WAS LIKE THE MOST WONDERFUL JOB EVER.
I'm just going to run through the events. I didn't manage to get a picture with Aribah though. I was too lethargic after the day.
Woke up really early in the morning and got my Dad to fetch me over to Tanah Merah mrt to meet up with Aribah.
At about 7/30 met up with Aribah and took the train to Expo. If I had known we were going to Expo, i would have asked my Dad to fetch me straight to Expo but ARIBAH NO INFORM ME. HAHAHA it's okay, it was fun taking the train anyway.
Anyway.
When we got to Expo, went to hall 3. Met up with the group's (group5's) leader. He so coincidentally and thankfully was Aribah's Sister's friend. Honestly, from first impressions, he seems like a pretty nice guy and the way he treated Aribah was like a brother. (and then you'll have me there matching people again :3 )
No. Like serious. I kept telling Aribah, "he's in the friendzone man, he may be your brother in law soon ^.^"
Just joking.
But yes, he was a really nice and cheerful person. Actually all the leaders there seemed pretty hyped and cheerful.
So we logged in and got our breakfast. While waiting, managed to get my stanchart t-shirt and then went to the toilet to change. Oh and guess what. After i finished changing, and when i was about to exit the cubicle, i found out there was a utterly smashed cockroach. Truth be told, i have no idea if i was the culprit or not...
Got changed and waited. Watch KING2HEARTS while waiting !! YAY YAY
Aribah just started watching so i just tagged along since i loved that show so much, i can't seem to get tired of it.
Then we are off!
Got to our counters. forty-five. gotta say this, it's a pretty damn lucky counter.
3 of us took counter 45, Aribah, me and this really nice 50-year-old-yet-didnt-honestly-looked-50-auntie.
AND THE 3 OF US WAS DABOMB.
Oh and at counter 46 was one of my seniors from school ^^ ( the nicer ones )
So basically it was pleasant.
Let's just called the auntie A
A and I got heads-up from Aribah.
A was to go get tshirt and the bag while i run to get the bibs and Aribah will be at the counter typing stuff in.
Let me just brag here.
We were really fast. Maybe cause there were three of us but really, it was lots of pretty cool teamwork.
To get people to come over to the counter, i was the most enthusiastic. I kept waving and smiling and A and Aribah follow suit. AND YUP IT WORK. Basically, learnt that smiling is a potent gesture to get people to feel good.
Loads of people came over to our counter and were smiling and joyful. Even people who went to the counters at our sides couldn't help but join in the conversation A was having with the runners. WE ARE AWESOME.
So because of the smiling, we managed to get some screen time ^^
first it was the koreans. There were wheel chair runners from korea and we got kbs filming them :3 Honestly, i had the urge to speak korean cause all we had to do was ask their names and say bye and thankyou. I could do that. But meeeh, couldn't muster the courage.
oh and i hope they did well, they seemed so happy to be able to be running in the marathon.
then we had Billy Boen. HOHOHOHO.
There were many people who came over to our counter asking why we were so excited. :> MEEEH I GET TOO HYPER AT TIMES.
Oh there were this family of japanese that kept wanting to take picture with us :3 THEY WERE UTTERLY SWEET. I really wanted to get away from my counter and like stand right beside them and CHEEEEESE :3 but i couldn't.
Even when it reached noon, my energy didn't lessen. But there were people thinking i was going to faint cause my face was, according to them, as white as a sheet of paper. I felt the same though. I just didn't sweat as much.
By the end of our shift, i could say i was the one who had the most energy ^^ *proud*

That day was great. Really. I had created so many smiles, i can't help not smiling. Many seemed expressionless at first but when they left our counter, they were smiling. It felt good. Really. Like just something like that, we can make someone's day. That's probably why i didn't let my energy level drop regardless of how tired i was. Truth be told, exhaustion only came when i stepped out of the hall.
Honestly, next year, i may want to go over to do it again. It's pretty fun. Plus, i got to exercise ^^
//
Now i'm currently suffering from muscle ache though.
//
Also, now i still kept help smiling thinking of the people who left smiling from our counter. IT FEELS THAT GOOD.
//
Updates.
So i am sure i had said this once before in this blog, but i'm just going to say it again in case any of you forget.
I'll be away to South korea from tomorrow onwards till the 14th of dec.
oh and guess what, i checked the temperature for seoul, this saturday, it'll go down to -12. i'm dead.
So bye.
will miss you. If i get wifi, will most definitely say hi :>
