I am so damn happy to leave this, in my very opinion, a torturous school. Although, i left one thing i kept preciously to me there. Shit, i should have just worn it and not give a damn about the teachers, but i had to be the goodytwoshoes and loose it. WOW.
Thinking of it makes me piss and almost to tears in all honesty, because that is really something i treasure so much, i will literally die for it.
But now...
Finally i am leaving this school for good, FINALLY.
Couldn't have been happier to leave it. Can't wait to start a new chapter in my life.
I'm so excited for my poly/ jc life ahhhhh
GOODBYE PRCS, I AM SO REGRETFUL TO EVEN HAVE KNOWN U.
Oh and i'm seventeen today yay!
So far i am fulfilling my new year resolutions well :)
Anyway, since everyone is all busying and most are head aching about the jae submission, let me give you my two cents worth of philosophical encouragement (?)
So, we are all troubling (okay most people who are still lost like me) on whether we should go towards our very shaded grey dream or towards jobs which gives us a brighter future.
I know, it's troubling. On one hand you understand the importance of money(you've got to admit, in singapore if you don't earn enough money, you will wither and die off) but then you keep hearing people telling you to follow your dreams.
I for one want to follow my dreams badly. To do some artistic job like to work in the film industry, or maybe media, art scene and things like that. But the problem is, it is hard to find a future of such in Singapore. Yes, larger film companies are coming into singapore via the infinite (?) but then, if you were to compare a film out from the Us vs the film out from Singapore but both by the same company, the one from the Us will naturally be given more respect.
You see, it's all built. You have to build a respect and Singapore being still very much lacking in the art scene as compared to the Science, financial scene.
I've learnt a thing when going to Bali last year. I realised each country has their own "special ability"
For one, Bali has amazing carving skills. Their creations are just so beautiful if it was brought out to be sold around the world, it can easily fetch a few thousand dollars.
As for Singapore, well they are famous for their science education. People growing up to work in medicine industries and so off.
So, all in all, all the rubbish i've said, the real question, should we go towards our dream or to a more realistic and prospective side ?
Well, i say choose both.
Sometimes, you may need to have alternatives, like a plan b and c.
I'm a very bio person, so instead of just putting film media sound, i let biomed, biotech, and pharm in front of that course. You may find me dumb for not following my dream, and yes, i sometimes i agree.
However, if you think about it, you want to follow your dream to get into a dream job to be happy right? But also, you need money to be lessen of worry in this high standard of living singapore right?
If you have a dream that concerns you in being a doctor or a lawyer, you are not affected but if you are like me, who wants to be in a very artsy job, well, we have a problem.
It's either i find happiness in my artsy job or earn more money to find happiness.
And now i've come to a conclusion, life is about finding happiness.
We all want happiness
Our mission is merely to find happiness. Some see money as happiness, some see it as having someone to love as happiness. We all are different people with the same ultimate ambition-to find happiness.
so we do what we feel is right, for then we will not regret and add a little to our happiness bar.
